Mid Mod in Seattle

Baus Interiors was brought onto this project well after many large and important decisions had been made, and customized items delivered to the job site.  The project was delayed, and many of the fixed finishes and surfaces had not yet been selected.

Bridget McKinnon, Experiential Design Director, led this project.  In order to create a design that makse sense, she spoke with the owner in detail to understand what wasn't working in the original space.  Together, they reviewed the design boards he was provided, and discussed the reasons behind some of the decisions made, and how those decisions created doubt and confusion.

  During the on-site visit, she learned how the new space needed to compliment their modern lifestyle.  New design boards were born.  The updated designs not only captured the mid-mod history of the home, they also provided functionality and versatility for improved livelihood.

Once selections were made, all installation details were discussed and specified.  Communication was fluid throughout, to ensure the final design was showcased with precision.
